To improve your chances of receiving funding, ensure your documents are ready and apply early.
What Happens After Submission?
Your online application will be assessed to determine eligibility.
Each stage of the application process may take up to 30 days for review and approval. Payments are deposited 30 days after the relevant form has been approved.
Funding Release
Once you begin your Health Care Aide (HCA) program, you are required to pay the tuition upfront. If your bursary application is approved, you will be reimbursed afterward.

After successfully completing your HCA program, including the HCA Provincial Exam or Alberta HCA Registration Examination. |
HCA Workplace bursary recipients will receive a one-time payment of $3,800
Secure Payment Method
Funds are securely deposited via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
Tax Information
T4A slips will be mailed out at the end of February to all applicants who have received bursary funds.
