Tuition Bursary (TBP Regular)

Who Can Apply?

  • You are a Canadian permanent resident or citizen.
  • You are enrolled in or a graduate of a full time Health Care Aide (HCA) program in Alberta. Your program must have started on or after July 1, 2022.
  • You agree to meet all the Return of Service Agreement conditions.

Who Cannot Apply?

  • International students are not eligible.
  • Students enrolled in the HCA ELL (English Language Learner) program are not eligible.
  • Students enrolled in an HCA Workplace program are not eligible.
  • Individuals who graduated prior to July 1, 2022, are not eligible.

TBP Workplace Bursary

Who Can Apply?

  • You are a Canadian permanent resident or citizen.
  • You are currently enrolled in an Alberta licensed Health Care Aide Workplace program
  • You are employed by an approved operator as:
    • A Care Aide Learner (or equivalent), or
    • A Health Care Aide (HCA) who was hired before HCA regulation requirements came into effect. 
  • You agree to meet all the Return of Service Agreement conditions.

Who Cannot Apply?

  • International students are not eligible.
  • Students enrolled in an HCA regular program are not eligible.

Important Note: if you are receiving any other funding or sponsorship (federal or provincial) to attend an Alberta-licensed HCA program, you must disclose this information to ABhcabursaries@norquest.ca. You may still qualify for funding; however, the amounts may vary.
